meet the team

Alan is a Town Planner with Armstrong Fenton Associates. Having graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.A. in Geography & Sociology in 2014, he joined the team as a planning assistant, working with design teams on residential planning applications.

Having gained valuable working experience within the planning sphere, he moved to Edinburgh in 2017 to undertake a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning at Heriot-Watt University. He graduated in Autumn 2018 with distinction and was awarded The Scottish Town & Country Planning Association award having received the best thesis mark in the course year, having conducted his research dissertation on "The causes of, and solutions to, the affordability crisis in Dublin's Private Rental Sector (PRS)".

Since his time in Edinburgh Alan has returned to work with Armstrong Fenton Associates where he deals with a variety of projects, including the pre-planning processes and meetings, preparation and submission of planning applications, planning appeals and post planning processes.

Alan is a member of the Irish Planning Institute and the Royal Town Planning Institute.
