The complex site addresses a number of local contextual issues with smaller scale terraced housing as the predominant building typology. The site also backs on to the Camac River, dropping steeply down to its edge. Occupying a nodal location, this site offers the opportunity to create a landmark building that is a slanted, snaking form that has a stepped, repeated pattern along its main south façade, with deep reveals and recessed balconies. The predominant material used is light coloured brick, with a standing seam metal roof clearly visible, emphasising the building form as one approaches from Inchicore Road.
